Preschool 3 & 4

Preschool for
Three- and Four-year-olds

Your child is a very special gift from God. God has made your child unique and different from any other child in many ways. At Zion Lutheran Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC), we aim to provide your child the opportunity to grow as a child of God. The school year will consist of activities to help your child learn about the world God has given to us to live in. We will strive to teach them in a welcoming environment that promotes creative learning and encourages individual success.

Our curriculum is carefully planned to help your child build social and academic skills. We do this in a manner that is appropriate for their ages and developmental skills. Since children have many different learning styles, we vary our teaching techniques to meet each child at their individual level.

Our curriculum includes but is not limited to:

  • Daily Bible stories
  • Art activities that provide creative expression
  • Alphabet activities that build sound/letter relationships
  • Number sequencing and concept activities
  • Prewriting and fine motor coordination
  • Language and vocabulary development
  • Word and print concepts
  • Nature and science experiments
  • Music and rhythmic movement
  • Balance and large motor control
  • Social skills
  • Problem solving

Each day has a balance of free choice and group activity, quiet and active play.
